Collect online and field data in Arabic, without giving up control.
Miqyas brings online surveys and field research into one place. It uses open standards, keeps privacy settings explicit, and supports Arabic throughout the product.
Anonymous means anonymous
In anonymous mode, Miqyas does not store a name, device ID, or session ID with a response. The stored record has no link to an identity table.
Your data stays in its region
Your organization chooses its legal region once. Every survey inherits it, and the region becomes fixed when the first response arrives. Regions remain separate from one another.
Arabic from the start
Arabic is part of the product from the first screen onward. English is maintained alongside it, not added later as an afterthought.
A smoother start for respondents
Participants open a link and begin without creating an account or installing an app. Buttons, upload prompts, and error messages appear in Arabic alongside the survey questions. If a submission fails, their answers stay on the device so they can try again.
Field research with ODK Collect
Miqyas works with ODK and XLSForm. Import existing forms and send field teams out with ODK Collect for offline collection and later synchronization.
Built for field conditions
Collect GPS points, traces, and polygons alongside photos, audio, video, and signatures. Skip logic and calculated fields run in the form, so the collector can fix problems in the field.
Review quality at a glance
Each submission is scored for completeness, fill-time plausibility, and straight-lining. Your team can triage large batches before opening individual responses.
Build charts without SQL
Choose a question or a combination of questions, then build a pie, bar, line, scatter, heatmap, or single-number chart. Filter, group, and export the result yourself.
Ask questions in plain language
Connect the assistant your team already uses and ask questions as you would ask a colleague. It receives aggregates computed by Miqyas within your existing access. It never receives individual responses or coordinates, and every access is recorded.
Roles for the whole team
Organizations have owner, admin, and member roles with permissions enforced throughout the product. You can add a research assistant without giving them the ability to delete a study.
How quality scoring works
Every submission is scored against three independent measures. Together they show whether a response is complete, plausible in duration, and varied enough to merit a closer look.
Completeness
Duration
Variance
Completeness
Why it matters: Flags submissions that are only partly answered or abandoned.
Most useful for: Useful for long surveys where respondents or enumerators may skip questions.
Duration
Why it matters: Flags responses that are unusually fast or slow compared with the form baseline.
Most useful for: Useful when the form has a meaningful expected completion time.
Variance
Why it matters: Detects repeated answers across a block of related questions.
Most useful for: Useful for rating grids and agreement batteries.
Choose the weights for your study, preview the effect on real submissions, and re-score your history in the background when you change them.
How it works
Design
Upload an XLSForm or update one you already use with ODK. Add media, translate it, and prepare a new version without interrupting a live survey.
Distribute
Create a public link for each site, wave, or partner. Set its language, branding, and limits independently.
Review
Submissions arrive automatically and receive a quality score. Filter them, comment on them, or chart them as soon as they land.
Visualize
Build dashboards from the responses with any question and chart type. Export the full dataset or only the slice needed for a report.
Coming next
Automated report generation
The dashboard already turns your data into charts. A one-click narrative report is the next step.
Published pricing
Miqyas is free during the beta. We are working on a clear pricing model without surprise fees.
Looking for surveys to answer?
We’re building a participant experience where you can choose surveys, take part, and earn rewards for your time and feedback.
A tool for the work behind the research
Miqyas is an early-stage startup based in Germany and is currently in open beta. We are testing the product with research teams and keeping the basics visible: what we collect, where we store it, and why.
