About Miqyas
Research teams working in Arabic often have to choose between a tool with good Arabic support and one that takes data residency and respondent privacy seriously. Miqyas is our attempt to provide both.
What we mean by “both”
The platform is bilingual by design: Arabic comes first, and English is fully supported rather than added as a machine translation. Anonymous surveys do not store an identity, and your data stays in the region your organization chooses. These are properties of the platform, not settings you have to remember to enable.
Where we are today
Miqyas is an early-stage startup in open beta. We are testing whether it is useful to research teams before registering a company, so details such as our legal entity are still being finalized. We prefer to say that plainly. The changelog tracks what has shipped.
What we build on
Miqyas runs on ODK, an open standard used by many field researchers. It adds an Arabic-first interface, structural anonymity and data residency, automatic quality scoring, and self-serve analytics. Your forms and data remain in open formats, so the platform does not lock you in.
Have a study in mind, or just want to see whether Miqyas fits? We’d like to hear from you.
