How We Operate

We believe in building tools that respect your data and your time. Instead of a long, complicated legal contract, here is a simple statement of how we run Miqyas and what we expect from you.

Your data is yours

You own every survey, every response, and every data point you collect. We just provide the tools to process it. We will never sell, mine, or exploit your data.

Privacy by default

We built Miqyas to protect privacy structurally. We won't attempt to unmask anonymous respondents or bypass privacy protections, and we ask that you don't either.

Fair use

Please use Miqyas responsibly. Don't use our platform to send spam, collect personal data unlawfully, or harass anyone. If you abuse the platform, we will have to close your account.

If you register as a data collector

Anyone aged 18 or over can register a data-collector account and offer to gather survey responses in the field. You confirm your email address, tell us which of the countries we operate in you work in, and choose where you are willing to work. Until you declare at least one area, no organization can find you.

Registering does not employ you and does not guarantee you any work. Organizations search for collectors and decide for themselves whom to make an offer to. When you accept an offer, the agreement is between you and that organization: they set the fee per accepted response, its currency, and any deadline, and they decide which responses they accept. We record what you have earned and what has been paid to you, and we show both of you the same figures — but we are not a party to that agreement and we do not employ you.

We do not check your identity, your qualifications, or your right to work anywhere, and we do not represent to organizations that we have. Holding an account means you confirmed an email address. Be honest about where you can work and what you can do; if you misrepresent yourself, collect data improperly, or submit responses you did not genuinely gather, we will close your account.

We are in Beta

Miqyas is currently in a free beta period. Features will evolve, and sometimes things might break. We don't guarantee perfect uptime right now, but we promise to always communicate clearly before making any major changes.
